We will be fundraising for the community garden on ashburnham in east city. We hope to upgrade our garden - fences, shed, claim more land to enlarge the garden. We are part of the Peterborough Community Garden Network that has a central database at Green Up of community members that would like to have a garden plot. We are assisting the city to set up a garden policy for city land. We hope to be able to start other gardens in Peterborough. Call 741-3546 Lori for more information about... -

Update on the Peterborough City Community Gardens - Ashburnham Garden for gardeners and volunteers. May 2009
Since there has been alot of rain only a few garden plots have been rottotiled. We need gardeners and volunteers to pick up stones and sticks in and around the garden, pull or cut down weeds, move the compost by wheelbarrow to some of the back plots, help run the rottotiler machines (one little one, one that a gardener's father has, one that Mayor... -

Members of the Ashburnham Garden Group will be selling seeds, etc at the next market March 14, 1-4 at the Peterborough Public Library. We are fundraising for upgrades to our garden on Ashburnham Drive. We need super heavy duty hoses, pails, gardening tools, a wheelbarrow, plants, seeds, stakes, etc. If you are interested in a garden plot contact Lori at 741-3546 We are hoping that more Peterborough Community Gardens will be opened in the spring. We are starting a waiting list.
